How To Spoil Dad On Father’s Day

How To Spoil Dad On Father’s Day

The first Sunday of September is fast approaching and just in case you didn’t realise, that’s Father’s Day!

For many of us, dad is a pretty important part of our life – a pillar of strength, a well of wisdom and perhaps a bit of a larrikin too. Whatever style of dad yours is, there’s plenty you can do to honour him (and all the fathers in your life) come early September.

At Your Private Chef one of our favourite ways to show love is through food. And there’s no better way to do that than with a party. It could be something intimate with your immediate family, or larger to include grandfathers, uncles and any other fathers you cherish. Whatever you choose, leave the cooking to us Melbourne caterers. Here are some (food based) ways to spoil dad on Father’s Day:

Gourmet Catering To Go

If dad loves the outdoors, then take your celebrations on location. Just pick a destination, order a gourmet platter to go and let the good times roll. You might choose a BBQ in a park, somewhere by the ocean or a place dad can have a bit of a fish (if that’s his thing). If you go for a BBQ, make sure you’ve got things to keep everyone entertained like a football or playing cards – you could even bring an embarrassing photo album of dad from back in his heyday, just for kicks.

Share An Intimate Meal

Been a while since you caught up with dad properly and want to do something special? Our three course dinner party catering menu includes a beautiful range of delectable entrees, mains and desserts. After pre-ordering dad’s favourite things to eat, all you have to do is set the table whilst we get busy in your kitchen. Yep, you’ll get your own private chef who will take care of everything and serve you in your own home (or perhaps surprise dad at his place). Our intimate three course fine dining option requires a minimum of three guests, so invite the rest of the family along too.

Throw A Party

What better excuse to throw a party than Father’s Day? If you’re in the mood to celebrate, round up the family or a group of awesome dads and throw a shindig in their honour. You could make it dad-themed, with games especially for the guys to take part in or perhaps a round of trivia based on parenting. A big party calls for some big Melbourne party catering. At Your Private Chef we have a range of fantastic buffet-style catering options from just $32 per person. That includes a range of scrumptious meat, vegetable and pasta based dishes as well as breads and condiments. Yum!

Whatever you do this Father’s Day, we hope you have a fantastic time with your dad.
